hello this is my first thread please message me if there's anything that I can do to improve it thank you

I have been studying the effects of different ways of weightminning for the last 2 years, as it's been something I struggled with. After losing around 32 kg and becoming anorexic while testing a lot of methods to lose weight, I have decided to dedicate my first thread to the methods that I have used. also I should mention that I have managed to stabilize my weight at a normal, healthy level at which my looks aren't minned

DO READ
DISCLAIMER, if you can't pronounce the name of these methods or substances, it's probably best that you stay away from them. I'm not a medical professional and I can't tell you with certainty that this will work and this won't, as it depends on a number of different factors for everyone. Don't do drugs to lose weight kids, your weight hasn't probably been redistributed. At least wait until you're over with puberty, fix your plate and hit cardio in the mean time

IF YOU EXPERIENCED OR ARE EXPERIENCING ANY FORM OF EATING DISORDERS FROM THE RESTRICTIVE OR BINGING-PURGING FIELDS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANOREXIA, BULIMIA OR ORTHOREXIA, PLEASE GET OFF THIS THREAD IMMEDIATELY. METHODS HERE CAN BE AGONIZING OR FATAL FOR YOU AND THERE IS HELP, THIS COMES FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS STRUGGLED WITH DISORDERED EATING

To make this easier for everyone to read, I have decided to use a color system to rank the effectiveness of every method, and the rankings are as follow
Really good
Good
Goodish
Ehhh
Please stay away from this

FDA or European Commission approval
Approved
Pending approval :f:
Banned

1. SEMAGLUTIDE, or Ozempic, Rybelsus, Wegovy
Different weight loss drugs have different mechanisms of actions. Semaglutide, the active substance behind the well known Ozempic, is a GLP-1RA, meaning that it mimics a hormone named GLP-1, which induces an anorectic effect by reducing one's desire to eat and gets the food to pass harder trough the stomach, keeping it full for a longer time. Originally developed for diabetes, it is approved to be also used for weight management by the EC and the FDA. It is Rx only, meaning you can only get the brand names with a prescription. Approved for use in patients over 12 years old.

EFFECTIVENESS
It depends from person to person. Usually, it's recognized as a very effective medication. Personally I have met a lot of people who struggled with weight management and decided to take Semaglutide, and it worked really well for them, both men and women. They got it on a prescription, don't do the grey market shit, it's usually fake and it can be sometimes dangerous

SIDE EFFECTS
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, fatigue, headaches and hypoglycemia, the last one being experienced only by T2 diabetes patients. Hypoglicemia means low blood sugar, but if you're on this medication you should have already thought of putting $20 aside for a good glucometer. I recommend the Codefree ones for how cheap and good they are.
For the people claiming that it causes pancreatitis, that was thought of in the past so no, Semaglutide doesn't cause pancreatitis.

SHOULD YOU TAKE IT?
I mean it's an effective medication and it's your body. I'm not an advocate for any weight loss drugs, but it works.
THIS WON'T WORK WITHOUT CONSISTENT DIET AND EXERCISE! THERE IS NO SAFE MIRACLE DRUG FOR WEIGHT LOSS THAT BYPASSES THE EFFORT OF A DIET OR EXERCISE

2. TIRZEPATIDE, or Mounjaro, Zepbound:yes:
GLP-1RA like Semaglutide, but Tirzepatide has also been used in the treatment of sleep apnea. It's usually much better than Semaglutide by also being a GIP agonist. It is Rx only, approved by both the FDA and the EC.

Approved for use in patients over 18 years old.

EFFECTIVENESS
First in class medication, it's really good at doing it's job. More expensive than Semaglutide, but it's worth it if you have the money.

SIDE EFFECTS
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, fatigue, indigestion and hypoglicemia. GET A FUCKING GLUCOMETER!
IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY HISTORY OF THYROID CANCER OR ENDOCRINE DISORDERS, DON'T TAKE IT

SHOULD YOU TAKE IT?
Not a single medication from this thread is candy, but this one is really effective. If you want to hop on it, I would recommend consulting a doctor first, you already have the money to pay for a grey doctor's prescription if you have the money for the medication.
Don't do the grey market shit, it's wasted money and time

3. DNP, or 2,4-Dinitrophenol
This substance is also used in agriculture and as an explosive. In humans, it causes mitochondrial uncoupling, causing the rapid loss of ATP and increasing the basal metabolic rate of cells.

I'm not saying it works, I'm saying it's fucking dangerous and the average user of this forum will probably kill themselves with it within the first 2 doses. It causes hyperthermia up to 44 C or 110 F, so you can die a painful death with this.
It lowers the T4 hormone, which is especially important for early growth and breathing, heart rate and digestion. This would be the main disadvantage of it other than the very high risk of overdose and death.
The mechanism of action is very effective and much more different, as it allows for a higher or usual calorie intake but it burns off those calories by increasing the activity of cells. It's also a really fast way to end up on both government and suicide watchlists.
this might be the miracle drug for weight loss that doesn't require a lot of changes in life but the side effects of it are not fucking worth it at all

4. STIMULANT LAXATIVES, including ExLax, Dulcolax
A lot of people in Europe do laxatives for weight loss. I'm telling you that they're a fucking waste of money, and they're completely shit for weight loss. They're usually easy to find at any pharmacy, and the stronger Rx ones are usually given without a prescription.

Stimulant laxatives work by producing faster bowel movements trough your intestines. This doesn't allow the proper intake of nutrients from different foods. It makes the food that you ate shit out of your body really fast. Recommended dosages usually don't go over 2 caps.
It comes with a lot of bloating. Not facial bloating, but pure gases, meaning farts.
If you take one, make sure to be near a toilet for the 2-3 hours window which begins after 6-12 hours from taking stimulant laxatives. Some bodybuilders use osmotic laxatives to get that dry look, because it "pulls" water from your body to your bowel.

WHY NOT LAXATIVES
Bloating, dehydration, a lot of stress on your kidneys and intestines. You also don't really lose the weight, and a lot of substances in these don't have any effect on the caloric intake. You only lose the water weight and fuck up your body. DNP is probably healthier than this in the long run if dosed correctly. Laxatives can be fatal

5. THERMOGENIC CAPS, supplements so they don't require approval
Thermogenic supplements usually contain caffeine and they aim to increase the body's temperature, making it burn more calories. It increases the basal metabolic rate of cells, but they're not as powerful as DNP or Clenbuterol.

MUHHHHH WHY ARE THEY OVER DNP OR CLENBUTEROL
Thermogenic caps are much safer and easier to use and obtain, they also come with some good effects against facial debloating.

EFFECTIVENESS
They're very low on side effects as long as you follow the recommended dosage. They might be a bit effective, but they're really useless without diet and exercise.
For overdoses, it's an usual caffeine overdose.
Usually cheap, you can get a bottle of them for under $15. Usually they won't get you the results you want, but they're good if you exercise and hit your cardio.

WHY THERMOGENIC CAPS
Because they're cheap and can help you a bit, but you would be better with a good pre workout. You can also increase your resistance to caffeine, that's why a lot of people usually get higher pre workout doses than the original after a year of taking it.

6. CLENBUTEROL :f:
Beta 2 adrenergic agonist, used in pulmonary disorders. It's also used for animals and in premature labor, meaning early birth. It has a thermogenic effect like other medication here. It's Rx only. Recommended dosage shouldn't be over 120 ug.

Usually used by bodybuilders, but you can develop resistance easily and some people develop resistance to the thermogenic effect after 4 weeks of using this treatment.
SIDE EFFECTS
Clenbuterol can affect the heart rate, thyroid secretion and in overdoses it can cause nausea and it can influence blood pressure. Get a blood pressure if you're doing this, you can get a cheap one for like $20 and it's a really good investment.

WHY CLENBUTEROL
I mean if you're a bodybuilder you probably know what you're doing, if you have been messing around with PEDs you probably a lot about Clenbuterol so I don't have any concerns that you don't know how to use it.
It does what you want but the only bad thing is that you develop resistance easily.

Thank you and do read, if there are any improvements that can be made feel free to comment on this thread.

by wait until you're over with puberty I mean don't hop on these like a fucking idiot from 12 without any medical supervision

i'd say clen is more dangerous than dnp, but overall nice list

also don't type in black, most people have .org on dark mode so its kind of hard to read

Reactions: blameGMOs
yeah, in the long term you could say that clen is useless and maybe more dangerous than DNP, but if you compare the death toll of both, remembering that a lot of org users might mess up doses, clen is maybe safer when it comes to an overdose, but thank you for reading!
also I thought the system switched the colors of the text, thank you for the heads up

also bump

forgot about it lmao I'll add it in a second thank you

7. RETATRUTIDE, or LY 3437943 :f:
It's an experimental drug, it's pending approval from both the FDA and the EC. Triple agonist for GLP 1, GIP and GCGR receptors. I haven't met anyone who used it, but from the research and the phase 2 clinical trials it looks promising, maybe more than Mounjaro.
It's also kind of expensive on the grey markets, a source of mine lists it for around $150 for a pen.

WHY NOT RANKED HIGHER
Experimental drug, not easy to obtain a good source on it. Yeah, it does the job, but when you have approved alternatives under brand names, it's much easier to get your hands on a pen of brand GLP 1 agonists. Out of all GLP 1 agonists, Retatrutide looks the most promising in clinical trials.

thank you @MK.abuser for the suggestion

It's a bit difficult to say as it depends on how your body reacts to any of the above. If you're young, I would advise you don't use any of these, it's much more effective and safe to maybe at most use a thermogenic supplement. I recommend Myprotein ones. In puberty, one of the lots of events is mass redistribution, including your fat, that's why a lot of people refer to fat tissue of children and teens as baby fat. It's not permanent and it will change with time.
I suppose that your main concern is losing as less muscle and as much fat tissue. Out of the approved drugs, both Semaglutide and Tirzepatide look like they prevent muscle loss when combined with resistance training.
But if there's no resistance training, up to a third of the mass lost can be muscle. A general rule is that with any weight loss or caloric restrictions, a small amount of muscle will be lost, the goal is to minimize that amount of muscle lost.
basically as long as you're doing resistance training you should be alright

I'm not an expert but you can take a look at this, it explains it well

Maybe, but to mess up the dnp you have to be around 20iq and the thing that i hate clen about the most, is that it enlargens your heart. Of course, short-term it might not enlargen it that much, but its still a risk

Also, in your thread you wrote that cant loss weight without exercise and diet, which is of course true, but not entirely.

Dnp can make you drop fat just on its own, even without diet or exercise, even if its not as near as effective as with exercise and diet.
