I'm sure the reason why you joined the forum "looksmax.org" was to improve your looks in some way or another. The percentage of people who joined already at hhtn is probably really low. I put it at .1% but it's probably even lower, and the majority of us joined at mltn or lower. We came here mostly looking for advice and specifically, to me, I joined to learn "the secrets" to ascending. I think the majority of us though, when we joined, immediately went to the rating sub-column instead of actually lurking and researching how to improve. And after posting a picture of our face, we most likely got shit faced by the comments with "ltn", "reincarnate", or "ropemax". That exact reason is why I am making this thread. BP is not inherently a bad idea at all, but we get a bad reputation because of how we act with it. BP is very similar to the gym or bodybuilding movement. It is inherently a movement to improve an aspect of our life (mainly our looks, but overall SMV). The gym usually gets a positive connotation with themselves because they try to lift each other up and encourage the smaller guys to keep lifting and "keep it up". BP is the complete opposite of that, and "looksmax.org" is bullying of the ugly on steroids. The bodybuilding movement definitely has its fair share of narcissists don't get me wrong, but the narcissists who get enjoyment from saying they are better than others equates to far less than the narcissists in BP who have a huge ego and enjoy putting other people down via "mogging". I'm agreeing with Sean O'Pry and saying stop gaining enjoyment by focusing on looking better than others, rather, make BP about looking better than our old self. In the same way the biggest guy in the gym was once skinny, the best looking guy was once an ltn for the majority of us who actually ascended and weren't genetically blessed. Each one of us joined this forum because we were done being an ugly ltn and realized we needed to change. For it to get to that point, most likely you were bullied. I can confidently say 50% of us were bullied when we joined for our looks (probably more), because we're mostly antisocial nerds who read for hours and don't spend our time doing other things. Going even further, for the 50% who were bullied, I can confidently say 25% are depressed when they join (probably more). True bullying isn't something that's easy to deal with; I think a perfect piece of lit that portrays bullying very well and BP altogether is "Lookism", a Korean Webtoon/Manhwa that portrays a protagonist "Daniel Park" who is bullied very badly (beat up, humiliated, and extorted), and the depression that comes from that bullying. He's then given a completely new body with much better looks and height than he was before. After he magically ascends you start to see how having a better SMV changes his life completely. He doesn't get bullied, he stops being depressed, and actually starts feeling better about himself. Although he still remembers his life pre-ascension. The bullying, depression, and horrible life he lived stay with him even after ascending because those experiences were so hard to deal with. I'm sure all of us who have experienced bullying, depression, or the life of being an ltn know that even after ascending those memories don't just vanish. We mostly just push them away and focus on the good moments we have now. The difference between Daniel Park and us is when he notices his 2 ltn day ones Jiho Park and Duke Pyeon; he doesn't throw them away and try and put them down, rather, he sits down with them at lunch and makes friends with them again in his 2nd body/life. We should be more like Daniel. After we ascend, we shouldn't try to put people down, but rather lift them up and give them the catalyst and/or gates to improve. Out of those 25% who were depressed of the 50% who were bullied, I can confidently say that 10% of those depressed individuals were suicidal in some way or form (again probably more). And of those 10% who were suicidal out of the 25% who were depressed out of the 50% who were bullied, 50% probably actually committed. With all those metrics, I hit every one when I joined. I know that a lot of us make "ropemax", "reincarnate", or "hope for a better hand next time" jokes because we find the dark humor funny, but to that suicidal ltn who hates himself so profoundly he would actually end it all because the pain is too much, it's not funny at all. I hope that even as fucked up as we are, we have enough empathy to not want to be an even slim reason why someone ended it all. Instead we should look to be the reason why that suicidal KHHV actually gets his heart broken once 😭. We should look to be the reason why that suicidal ltn can look in the mirror and not fully hate his face every day. When I was in that dark place and actually committed many times, I'm not gonna say self-image was the only factor. There were 3 major factors: 1. self-image, 2. treatment from others, 3. achievements. Our dark humor in the ratings of the new gen ltns hits both 1 and 2. Obviously the normie ltn joining .org that gets bullied probably is tough in some way, but I'd like to argue that it's not one major thing that hurt me so hard to lead to committing many times, rather, it was a combination of many things. In those moments, you don't usually have a clear head, you're not thinking very logically; rather, it's a very emotional, impulsive act to do. Being told to commit doesn't help at all. A lot of us also probably fall under the category of "autistic" or "ASD". Me myself, I was diagnosed with Asperger's at 13. I'm not gonna say I spent all my life rotting on .org 🗿. I joined about a year ago and mostly lurked, but I can say that I can empathize with the struggles of having autism. In fact, autism was so hard to deal with that I actually implemented a harsh antipsychotic (Abilify), which studies show it can mitigate the retardation of the EQ that comes from autism. I'll make a separate thread on it one day probably, but right now I want to focus on another individual we all know and mostly love, "Clavicular" or Braden Eric Peters. I think it's safe to say that he suffered and suffers from autism even now. Specifically, I want to bring focus to when Clav was younger in high school. He claimed that he once "went 3 days without speaking a single word out loud". Instead, he would spend hours rotting on this forum learning and chatting about the super effective massai jumps, thumb pulling, hard mewing, sprinting fasted, and eyelid pulling secrets we all know and love to ascend to Chad 💀. He obviously found this forum as a safe space compared to irl, which he dreaded so much that he didn't even utter a single word for three days. Obviously Clavicular was bullied at school; there's a lot of evidence of this, and I'm not sure if he's spoken on it, but I can make the very educated inference that it did happen as a person who doesn't know him personally. I'm sure many of the other people who find this forum as a safe space from the dreadful irl are also bullied in some way or form. If this forum qualifies as the "safe space" for them, why should we mimic the same behavior that they have to deal with irl? Instead of being the same way as the real world, constantly bringing the weak down, I think we should be the opposite, and bring the weak up. Obviously Clavicular and many of us took the harsh criticism as fuel to work harder towards improving, after all, we're men, we have testosterone. Still though, just because it worked for us does not mean it worked for everyone. I'm sure there's some person who committed because of the harsh treatment from .org. To be quite honest that's pretty sad, and I hope you feel the same way. .org has 100% degraded from the past in terms of quality posts 😭 and amount of posts. Although new membership has skyrocketed. We are constantly getting more new members each year, and I'm 1000% sure those new members immediately go to the rating and post a picture there asking for a rating, just to get molested by the harsh critics we are, just like how you and I did. Just like how the rich like to boast about their wealth to the middle class and poor, the people who ascended and are now htn here like to do the same to the normie ltns. I'm glad we live in a meritocracy in many ways, but the worst part about our capitalist society is being at the bottom. The bottom sucks and is not fun at all, in fact, it's dreadful, and it can cause a flood of turmoil when you talk to someone who seems like a god compared to you trying to put you down. So, to the 3 people who actually read until the end, please with all the new normies flooding into ratings, be the nice guy there, not the dude who tells him to "ropemax" and "reincarnate". Help him ascend and finally feel happiness for the first time since his childhood, not the reason he died by suicide.
