yes retinoids are like accutane, but there also are topical retinoids like tretinoin, over like 8-12 weeks it removes acne. Just started on retinaldehyde (OTC in Canada) and it gets worse before it gets better (which is about 3-5 weeks in)

Ya I’m worried about it getting worse on drugs tbh I’ve been trying to just thug it out till then and reduce with salicylic acid and other less harsh topical treatments

salicylic acid is cope it doesnt fix the underlying cause, good cleanser tho
depends on where you are but in the US adapalene is otc and for canada retinaldehyde is otc and those help directly
