Simply not true. People store fat differently and having huge bones shows facial definition easier. At 12+% his face looks leaner than most people at 5%. At 7-8% he looks like this. The same shit happens to me when I drop to single digits. If you look at his posts you can see the slow process of him starvation maxing. You think he had surgery, but really he just lost 10-15lbs.

It's true that people with bigger bones get leaner face at a higher body weight. But IMO, he clearly got face fat removed in addition of losing weight. Just compare this 3 pics. First is when he was bloated, second is in his prime years and the third is recent. All of them except the last one are candids:
