"This Sunday on my channel I will be sharing with you all a very personal journey that I have held within me for almost 12 years.
I feel vulnerable I feel scared but I know I can no longer be quiet, maybe my story can help someone avoid going through what I did.
First picture: me at 17 bullied for laying out in the sun, for being darkskin, ugly, worthless and useless and for some time I believed it. Sad and alone.
Second picture: at 18 after a nasty remark from a family member I no longer have contact with. I started bleaching. It didn't make me happy or successful.
Third picture: at 25 receiving my bachelors degree with honors at university. I found beauty in my brains and my achievements. I found self love in a world that had little space for a nerdy black girl.
Forth picture: me today. Accomplished, intelligent and blessed whilst being darkskin. Being whiter doesn't equate to success, your brains, your intellect and your hard work determines success."
