I quit chess because I’ve become too fixated on winning/rating

When I played irl I wouldn’t care but it’s something about losing to a random I don’t like, it came to a point where I was spending 90% of my time studying chess and 10% playing

I only care really about my blitz rating so yeah I only usually play rapid or 2 minute bullet

Good start . We should hold an org chess tournament sometime, I can host or write posts summarising or something since im 1750 bullet 1800 blitz 1950 rapid (at my peak, havent played seriously in a little while and focused on getting to top 50 in some variants). Depending on everything we could actually throw some variants in there

That would be interesting I feel since org has the most aspies they have to be decent at chess.

It would be nice to see who is larping because they think it makes them high iq as well. I feel that most of us are pretty into self improvement, hence the namesake of looksmaxxing, and so lots have tried to get at least alright at chess

I think they don’t realize that iq and chess doesn’t correlate on a avid level, of course if you want to compete for titles most of these players are high iq.

The person who has above average iq and only plays chess is worse than the person who plays less and study’s more
