Judging from your pics they appear to grow downwards. You can use a curler to bring them upwards which should make them a lot more apparent.

Most makeup will look noticeable on a guy save for a few exceptions or unless you're really good with it which takes quite a bit of failing first. Curling lashes looks natural on guys.
