Found out that this guy was also an amateur musician, lul.

His music is quite reflective of his philosophy imo.

He was also introduced to the music and writing of Richard Wagner, who introduced the philosopher to the Hungarian composer Franz Liszt after they met in 1868. Surrounded by great 19th century composers, it was easy to see how Nietzsche’s love for music could be nurtured.

Despite his love for music, the polymath’s compositions were heavily criticised – even by his friend Wagner. The story goes that in 1871, Nietzsche sent a birthday gift of a piano composition to Wagner’s wife, Cosima. When Cosima played the piece in public, Wagner left before the end, and one of the guests found him rolling around on the floor, laughing, shortly after.

tbh 1850-1950 was such an interesting time regarding music and science (and probably a lot of other areas too that I'm not thinking of), in general quite some things were still undiscovered and you had many great men in every discipline that are remembered until today.

Compare that to today, where physics is basically dead and therefore every other science too. What are the men that people will remember 100 days from now? probably actors, athletes and literal sloots jfl

Brutal.

Maybe his compositions were too technically simple or lacked drama. But this music isn't even the show off virtuosity. Friederich's music sounds easy on the ear and quite gentle. It sounds like the typical normie piano composition that anyone would like after a few listens.

Wagner was known for being quite arrogant. Wagner was well-known for orchestra, operas and stage works. He had Liszt introduce him to the music world in order to gain fame btw. But Wagner's piano music sucks compared to Nietzsche who was just an amateur imo.

Indeed, nobody mogs the OG chad, rock-star, Franz Liszt.

I understand, subhumans need something to cope with
Yeah, but the copes benefit yourself and other people in other ways.

You can't just say that if a truecel became an engineer, then he's coping. At least he's doing something fruitful than LDARing.

Lol not necessarily true. Most influential figures throughout history weren't gl like almost everyone in this thread has been trying to tell you.

Beethoven was a lone virgin yet he's more famous and hailed than a gl musical celebrity like Liszt.
