Were you using pomade? I used to have a middle part. I had tried to pull it off for a couple months before and it looked like a total helmet, turns out it just wasn’t possible without some sort of hair product for me. Also, and this could be a big reason, your hair is kind of cut for a fringe rn, with it shorter in the middle. If you really want to commit, next time you go to your barber you should ask for layers (texture makes it hold better) and even out your hair a little more. Still keep it a little longer on the sides than the front though.
