Whether the person has a compact skull or not is irrelevant (it's a flaw on its own) the ideal lower third is a decent ramus, an acute gonian angle, and a straight jaw parallel to the ground it's looks theory 101.

The comparison photo shows the guy on the right with a ramus too long, a gonial angle too obtuse and a rounded jaw.

The guy on the left is ideal and you agree jfl.
