It was a real country ruled in a theocracy by the Dalai Lama until 1951, then it was annexed by the PRC in an invasion meant to liberate the people from the feudal theocracy. It is now a Chinese territory

liberation led to deaths of millions of tibetans and the destruction of sacrilegious sites, prosecution was oppressive and still is.

Yeah, the reason expressed was "liberation" but there were definitely ulterior motives to it such as limiting western influence, expanding Chinese influence and spreading communism around the continent. Also just securing a more defensible border with the Himalayas acting as a wall

yes, they already renamed tibet to Xizhang, and most of the land of the Tibetan Autonomous Region is Kham which is the third largest province of Tibet. Amdo is renamed to Qinghai and is industrialized. Tibetans born in these regions cannot have passports and millions of children are being brainwashed.
