I think it looks cleaner when its shorter on the sides, but if you are trying to fix your face shape with volume on hte sides, then leave it longer

depends on his age, if hes older then he should leave it. If hes younger he should shave it. Clean shaven is better appeal for young girls, facial hair is more appeal for older women
