unfortunately my parents (especially my dad) are african and christian so they see men getting hairstyles as feminine & against the bible so they are against braids, dreads, etc. (My mom would probably not care as much as my dad and forget about it eventually.) They don’t even like it when i’m wearing my bonnet in the house and forbid me from wearing it out. (i’m not religious in any way but i fake it in front of my parents so they think i am)

I’ll try to get a job and get my hair done this summer hopefully and cover it around them the whole time until they find out eventually. better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission
