His cousins and his dad used to bully him for his nose, skin colour, acne etc. In a particularly brutal episode, a woman asked to see “little MJ”. She was expecting a cute child to show up, but when an adolescent Jackson appeared, she reacted with disgust and said “ew” before walking away

He would lock himself in his bedroom and cry. He was a sensitive person and these incidents left him extremely insecure about his appearance. He didn’t want to go out or meet people and became shy and withdrawn
