Do you have any advice on sound filtering?

If a sound has like a weird or annoying frequency you can just filter it out, so for example if a noise is too buzzy u can just do a high cut filter which removes high pitch frequencies
or if u wanna make room for another instrument lets say a bass but the sound ur using has too much bass u can filter out the low pitch frequencies so the bass is more audible
theres a lot u can do with filters but its honestly just recognizing what sounds like what

Actually i assumed u meant filters as in pitch/frequency filters but if u meant effects then honestly its just figuring out what works
I think u should try to use them a lot tho
It just makes everything sound better and less raw
Reverb is safe most of the time (except for lower pitch sounds like bass or kick)
Delay sounds nice with plucky sounds
Distortion is good at boosting quiet bass or kicks, but in this case u don't really need it
its also good if u want to make a high pitched sound even more screechy
Chorus sounds nice, you'll know when to use it based on how it sounds
Eq filters i already went over
