No I was born in Bosnia in 1996, he came here in 1992. He was insane tbh, no sane man would ruin his life like that. Came here to die instead of living in Canada as a citizen, he was there since 6 yo.

Yeah it does sound a bit insane but I guess nationalism was a strong thing back then, now people are waking up to the reality of wars but back then I feel like it was seen as a honourable almost obligatory thing to die for your country as a young man during such times.
