locate the highest point of your shoulder bone (acromion process) on each side and measure the straight line distance between them using a tape measure while standing with your arms relaxed at your sides, ensuring the tape is held taut across the broadest part of your shoulders

Not to the highest point- you measure to the actual endpoint of the acromion process, the most lateral part of each bone. That’s the proper method used in anthropological research.

Measuring only to the bump is why so many retards on YouTube and TikTok whine about their supposedly narrow clavicles.

40-42cm is average in Swedish young men.
