Think that the people who see it that way is simply because they hear it so much on the radio, etc. so it just sounds like trite pop music to them. could be wrong doe. regardless, fair enough. i do find his voice very enjoyable tho in the context of his musicHis voice is boring

I like that he likes dream pop and also did synthwave but generally am not a fan. I like singers who can belt. I can give an example if you'd like.Think that the people who see it that way is simply because they hear it so much on the radio, etc. so it just sounds like trite pop music to them. could be wrong doe. regardless, fair enough. i do find his voice very enjoyable tho in the context of his music
sure, would be curious to hear. synthwave is highly based, one of my favorite genresI like that he likes dream pop and also did synthwave but generally am not a fan. I like singers who can belt. I can give an example if you'd like.
It's rock music so maybe not your taste, but still listen to it just for the belting / voice. The singer is a fan of the Weeknd too. He also makes r&b music but doesn't belt in those but I like whatever genre he does. Also, yeah synthwave is the shit. I got into it like in 2015 or something. Dream pop as well around the same time as well as shoegaze. But nowadays I listen to Asian pop music though (Japanese, Korean, Pakistani, occasionally Bollywood stuff).sure, would be curious to hear. synthwave is highly based, one of my favorite genres

Duuude I listened to At the Drive-in before, I'm sure you also know the Mars Volta (Accidentally wrote Travolta, lmao) and bands like Glassjaw. I really like Cocteau Twins too, the Weeknd is also a fan of them. As for asian music, which ones would you like? Japanese, Korean? I got some songs I can share then. In the meantime try this bollywood song.Pretty good. I like this kinda hearty, post-hardcore rock too. check out 'Relationship of Command' by 'At the Drive-In', you may enjoy it. Dream pop is also epic, yeah - Cocteau Twins is great. Should start venturing into Asian pop music too for the culture

Yes I used to listen to Fugazi especially in high school (same thing with Glassjaw, ATDI), some Unwound later on. I am sure you also know Minor Threat since you know Fugazi.Yeah, Mars Volta is very epic. Love em also. Glassjaw is pretty good. Maybe try Fugazi and Unwound also if you haven't already. Basics when it comes to post-hardcore but classics.
Mmm, I guess I never really understood the appeal for K-pop, so if you can link some that you like, would be curious to give a listen. J-pop seems a little more normal and is very eclectic which makes it fun (city pop, shibuya-kei etc.). Fantasma from Cornelius is a great example.
The Bollywood song was surprisingly listenable, expected something less melodic. Pretty good indeed

Sure thing, I will post a K-pop song you might like. Some American (?) artist made a remix of the song. I'll link it below. I don't think I have listened to city pop or shibuya-kei myself so if you can send me any songs, please do.
I'm glad you dug it! It was my first Bollywood song as well, I love the harmonizing by the singer. It's my favorite part of the song.
Here's the K-pop song. The remixed version is with Conor Maynard. I'm sure you have heard of him.
Keep in mind that Minor Threat is hardcore punk, so it's very different from Fugazi and may not even be something you like at all.Ye, I do. Have yet to give them a proper listen tho - this is a handy reminder. will put them higher up on my queue
That remix is pretty chill, sounds better to me when deprived of the k pop qualities for sure. Thanks for the rec
Ye. the one I mentioned, you may like it, it's very fun and bouncy, here's the name again - Fantasma by Cornelius
for sure homieMr 10/10 personaliteeee
