Yeah it was him and his brother, J.W. Milam (who was actually the ringleader). Emmett had supposedly flirted with Roy's wife, who is a white woman (she's 88 and still living). But the plot twist is that she wasn't the one who told her husband. She purposely didn't say anything because she thought he would react badly. It was actually a black man who told him and then he questioned her about it. But even then, the whole lynching idea came from J. W. Milam, his brother.
