Dutch is basically a refined version of German. Same goes for Danish, it carries that German feeling, just without the unnecessary harshness.

Klopt en juist verwoord. Ik denk dat de meeste mensen wel over eens zijn dat Nederlands het meest lijkt op Duits met een vleugje Engels (Alle drie Germaanse talen)

idk, it sounds like German, and all these languages like that always seem to me personally like the person is struggling to pronounce the words or express themselves, or rather, the accent or way of speaking always sounds like the person has something stuck in their throat/is choking on food while talking, so it sounds pretty weird..

But that's my perspective as a speaker of a Romance/Latin language, which every day the language he hears and speaks sounds like this..
