I’m currently working on improving my acne, but I’m also trying to understand some of my facial structure. I have a baby face with recessed infraorbital areas and possibly a short mandible. Combined with a prominent malar fat pad, it gives me a noticeable tear trough and the appearance of a slight nasolabial fold. I’m wondering if a recessed maxilla might be amplifying this, or if there are any other structural factors I should be considering.

maxilla has a big hand in nasolabial fold,even tho yours is kinda recessed i dont see any folds

I agree with you at different angles specifically lighting it's very noticeable. this is as bad as it gets and dark hyperpigmentation as well. Also thank you for your reply

cant tell if its a fat or water but u definitely has problems with one of them on ur face, if ur bulking thats normal and dont worry about i,if u dont bulk try to lose body fat and cut down on salt and since you are almost 20 its not baby fat that will go away by itself, if u want faster results hop on aqualyx

I doubt it's water, I have it all the time no matter the change in my diet so it's definitely fat, im cutting right now and i'm nearing 13.5% bf, I do store alot of fat in my face. I do agree with you im probably a good candidate for aqualyx. thank you for your help bro if there's anything else you have advice on i'd be happy to hear

u could get mrpe aswell it will change(its a pain in the ass tho), aqualyx would help a lot but there are only certain places u can ijnect it to

Ill for sure look into aqualyx , I don't believe i would be a good candidate for marpe since my palate is wild already

mb it is wider than usually, i would try increasing massater before aqualyx

Thank you. Intresting that you point out micro needling, you believe it's a collagen problem rather than a structural one? also for the short chin would I have bone remodeling at 20 from AAS?

of course its mostly structural but you should do the most to help fix them without orthognatic surgery

I see you're saying I have underdeveloped massater muscles, I do believe my left massaster is more developed than my right and I have slightly more hollowing on said side. I'll look into this, I'll need to first make sure my massesters are low set.
