The Mughals traced their ancestry to both the Turks and the Mongols. Babur, the first Mughal ruler, was the ruler of the Fargana Valley of Uzbekistan and was a Chagatai Turk, which made him a direct descendent of Genghis Khan on his mother's side and a descendent of the Turco-Mongol ruler

Yes Mughals decided to stay in India for reasons still not known and mixed both culturally and physically with the Rajput and other ruling families of that time

This is the last Nizam of Hyderabad. For the most part Nizams looked arabic because they didn't mix much with the locals

Sultana Begum, the wife of OP's elder brother. After her husband's demise she descended into a life of poverty. Forced to live in the slum area of Kolkata. She recieves a monthly pension of 60000 INR for her family, all of whom are direct descendents of the once great Mughal empire. Sad story tbh.she got cucked hard lol

Interestingly he isn't considered a nawab I think. His dad married Sharmila Tagore who was a hindu at the time of marriage and according to some islamic law or whatever he isn't considered to be a nawab.

I think the title was abolished a few years ago. He’s still the titular Nawab but doesn’t have any powers

The Mughal army first when they invaded India yes but later on they started recruiting soldiers from parts of the indian sub continent too.
