Antelope man arrested in police sting, accused of preying on minors​

A 22-year-old man from Antelope was arrested last Friday after police say he tried to have sex with a 13-year-old girl he met online.

Roseville Police Department officers arrested Aleksandr Anatolyevich Rudenko on suspicion of arranging and going to a meeting with a minor for the purpose of lewd and lascivious behavior.

He remained in South Placer County jail in lieu of $200,000 bail Thursday morning.

Undercover officers contacted Rudenko online pretending to be a 13-year-old girl after receiving information that he had made inappropriate advances on other minors, according to a Roseville Police Department media release distributed Wednesday.

Rudenko arrived in Roseville around noon on May 4 intending to engage in sexual activity with the girl, but was instead arrested.
