There's no studys to back up any of this information im about to give you and it could honestly be 100% cope but good facial posture + pre molar chewing allegedly promotes foward growth of the mandible there are definitely some threads that could explain that alot better and also bojack talks about this alot in some of his old videos but if i was you i'd do my own research and then do what you believe works best.
