Rating women in PSL makes no sense

I thought the point of PSL was that women view 80% of men as below average so the curve needed to be adjusted.

So then why would we use it on women?

PSL is used to put attractiveness on a bell curve. For example we rate someone a 6/10, but we don't know where they place compared to other people. Now if we rate them 5 PSL we know they are in the 85th percentile for attractiveness.

Its not supposed to rate them according to womens perception its supposed to rate them according to the standard distribution bell curve model. However thats not how its used anymore, people just see some dude and say “ahhh thats a 4psl” because he looks average. I dont even know how youre supposed to rate someone in a standard distribution anyways, theres no number like test scores that you can place exactly
