everytime i shave i get a shitton of razor bumps and look like patient zero
since i already have acne issues this just makes it 100x worse
and im forced to shave because i go to a private school and its apart of the uniform

my routine looks like this :
  • wash my face with cleanser
  • pat dry
  • put on shaving cream
  • shave face
  • aftershave block
  • moisturize
i use a foil shaver (which im probably going to return because its lowk fucking terrible) but i also have a phillips oneblade. any tips on changing up my routine? should i switch back to the oneblade?

get a new razor or get the philips one blade it’s a solid shaver

He might aswell get one from aliexpress since they're all the same, also don't shave against the grain

Shave after you take a hot shower. The hairs get soft which makes it less likely to get razor bumps. You can also try switching to a safety razor if you want the closest shave (better than razors with more than one blade, which only increase skin irritation).

Cleanse after you have shaven not before and leave out the aftershave.

So your routine should look like this:
- Hot Shower or apply warm water to face for at least a minute.
- Shave with shaving cream.
- Wash face with cleanser, leave the cleanser on for at least a minute.
- Moisturize

Lastly don't shave against the grain and apply only a little pressure, go slow!
