Ok, so after a long break today I was reading up on this forum for money making and success for obvious reasons. It is completely full of shit besides some exit scams or refunds but its 2026 bro this been known. Reselling, dropshipping, scamming, I have seen every single thing. But this summer I actually was bored and started to make money myself.
So, I started a car detailing company!
If u are a true hustler u could make around 2-300 a day. Some days I would da do $500 for maybe 6hr of work.
Now you would really be suprised. Ill explain everything and tell u guys how u can make really good money. No taxes, fees, 99% cash, no need to wait biweekly for a paycheck, make ur own schedule, get up whenever u want and ya its pretty chill. So here is the guide!
DAY 1: Just Starting
Ok so day 1. What do u need? REQ:
Vacuum, pressure washer, the actual cleaning materials for the car ex interior cleaner, leather cleaner, mat cleaner, carpet cleaner, rags etc etc. ( u can basically ask gpt for it)
Now me and my friends already had this stuff, so all we needed to do was to buy the car cleaning materials which was abt $50-60 each. After we did that now our problem was getting customers. Create a social media page, set up a square account (any payment soft) so people can pay through card on ur phone, and ur done! Now its time to get customers!!!!!!
DAY 2: Customers!
So, u have the stuff, no how do u get customers? Simple. DOOR TO DOOR!!!! I cant emphasize this enough. Door to door is so important starting out. I have literally gotten my highest paying clients + the best cars from door 2 door. When I first started, people would be a little sus about it since we didnt have any results. So i recomend 2 things. Either practice on a friend (which I did) or larp pics onlione (also did). I would create fake accounts with friends to promote our insta lmfao. With these pictures on the social media u can now go door to door to get customers! A basic script I followed was "Hello Sir/Mam, were going around the neighborhood to promote our business, would u be interested in hearing about us, we do car detailing?" Mostly like that. We would switch a lil every now and then but its the same message. We would be out every single day door 2 door with maybe 100 flyers (make the fyers look nice. We included a QR code, pics of our stuff, and prices) and try to get as many customers as we could. One day we did get our first!!!
Day 3: Scaling!
Im not even kidding guys, after the 1st it just starts flowing. The door 2 door got easier, we were getting more traction on the instagram, new customers + we could charge more. From personal experience, when we started to get more customers we raised our prices. We started to include other services like stain removal, ceramic coatings, scratch removal, etc etc. Now to really scale it comes time for ads. You guys have all prob heard of the google ad or website side hustle, we prolly got 100 calls a day about it. Once u detail a very nice car, ex we would do rolls royces' and ferraris, make an instagram post and promote it. Talk about ur business, why u should go to us instead of a shitty $20 car wash, etc etc. This will be insanely good for the business and leave u with more time chilling at home, still getting calls, but not doing door 2 door. (personally i fucking hated door 2 door so much).
Day 4: U WIN!
So after all that, ur basically where I am rn. Its getting into the cold months, so business is kinda slowing down. Still promote, still post, still go door 2 door every once in a while, even tho we personally dont. At this point u should have a really good understanding of what it takes to run a business, how to handle people, cold calling, and other important life skills from the future. Dont forget the money lol. Brutal Truth Tho: Most rich people who say yes are lowk pieces of shit who want to watch u work, and they can afford it. It really fucking sucks but u need to suck it up and grow a pair. They tip amazing tho. Ive never once gotten no tip. And another tip, if the guy doesnt know the prices, make some shit up. Make him pay more then the prices on the instagram are, since most people just want to give u a chance. Good luck and wish u guys well.
BALL TIPS: Most people would never hustle outside like this. People would compliment us every day for actually going out. Everybody wants to sit inside making money of meme coins, dropshipping, etc. Yes you can make money off that and it really works but this is way diff. Also u get more clients if u look better so have ur good looking friend go d2d or talk to customers. Get maybe 2-3 of u guys 4 max cuz too many ppl is annoying from pers exp. Get someone u can trust and is very fair to b a partner with u.
