Yeah we have a class together and that’s it. Sometimes we get paired up by the teacher but that the extent of our interaction. I feel like I act more nt in that class cuz non of my friends are in there. But if she rejected me it would be pretty awkward.

If it's just one class and you don't interact much beyond that you may as well

Maybe try talking to her about something else for a bit brfore explicitly asking for her number. She'll probably get the idea you're interested and you can try to tell how she feels about it by her typing so you can nope out before you actually ask
