Really ugly without beard or atleast medium stubble

I went to a pretty good barbershop yesterday, got a $50 haircut and eyebrow/beard trim. I've been going back between long and short hair past few years. I have good hair and want to keep it long but it kind of gets annoying after a while getting in my eyes. Should've just tied it viking or samurai style. The fade I got was alright but the beard is where I'm really mad about.

The dude was young and most likely wasn't rated to use a straight blade. But I asked just to trim my beard a little for mid thick stubble and he just fuckin shaved it. It'll come back but just makes me realize how headass I am without it

I don't even want to post how bad it is. But these are with long and medium short hair. And example of fade I have now
