Reason why servers aren't as slow anymore?

How long has this been a thing for? I went on a laptop to check this site out while not logged in a week back and EVERYTHING was delayed by at least 30-60 minutes.

The weirdest part was that light mode & dark mode gave different results for posts. Possibly due to users being in 2 groups and the cache interaction being different..? No clue why that would matter though..
