Assalamualaikum brothers,

Today I am going to discuss why you should all try to fast during Ramadan, even if you are not Muslim, and the benefits of doing so on both your physical and mental health.

In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.

Ramadan is a holy month observed by Muslims all around the world, and it is a time of great discipline, strength, and spirituality. By commencing the day with a healthy yet hearty feast, and consuming abundant amounts of water, and then restraining from eating and drinking until dusk, you are training your body to resist its normal desires. In this way, you are building yourself to be more resilient against temptations, whether it be food, water, wealth, women, etc.

Furthermore, it is with this disciplinary mindset that you can find yourself efficiently navigating the complex world we live in, and as a result you will realise that despite certain things being out of our control, we are able to be the strongest and most capable beings, thanks to the Lord Almighty.

Some of you may ask, “How am I going to change my looks and boost my SMV just by fasting?”. Well, the answer to that is rather simple. Without the proper mindset, you will never go anywhere in life. Fasting, like all other endurance tests, brings about a plethora of health benefits, including but not limited to higher immunity, effective fat loss whilst retaining muscle mass, healthier gut (which leads to healthier skin), and as mentioned earlier, a more stoic outlook on life. You are still able to mew, stay fit, groom, and work productively all whilst fasting. This is the beauty of such a practice. By dedicating one month out of the whole year to fortifying your body and mind, and becoming closer to the universe and our existence, we are given the wonderful opportunity to recalibrate ourselves and start fresh. We can put past tragedies and frustrations behind us, and improve our lifestyle in such an easy way! All it takes is just a stronger mindset to do so!

TL;DR Brothers of all faith, give dawn to dusk fasting a go, especially during this holy month of Ramadan, and you’ll see how much potential and strength you have within you. You’ll be surprised how much more capable you are than you have ever imagined! May Allah grant you all resilience, peace, and virtue. Ameen.

Allah intends for you ease, and does not intend for you hardship (Quran 02:185)

InshALLAH Allah accepts our facts

No reward for you if you fast for women instead of fasting for Allah
