I have a receding hairline hair isn’t thinning but it’s getting pushed back on the top corners. Doing some research I found that using topical Minox along with topical tret is a good combo for hair regrowth curious about also adding dut. Let me know if that’s the best option. Could also attach pictures if that would help.

Take dht blockers then go hair transplant

Every single person on this forum should be taking dut already

Anybody who doesn’t have a flawless hairline should also be applying minox

Bonus points for adding RU to the minox solution

Might be but low chance
IMG 9719 Here is how it looks right now not doing anything currently also started accutane like 2 months ago so not sure if that would replace me using topical tret with Minox or if i should still use it.

Acutame doesn't affect hair loss. Mark as a solution with the bookmark

I wasn’t saying it does I was just just asking if I should still use topical tret with topical minox or if it’s not needed because of the isotret (accutane)

as others have pointed out, you need a DHT blocker. yes tret and minox will help you regrow it but eventually it will fall out from the DHT in your scalp if you have androgenic alopecia that is. minox + tret will grow it DHT blocker will help you maintain it.

Ok thank you I’m assuming that’s what I have is there a way to know? and is the best way to get the dut through the dermatologist and same with the topical minox?

well look at your dad or grandpa, but thats also random. its either that or like huge amount of stress or some shit but most likely ur just balding. and since ur 22 you can freely block DHT. I myself started 2 months ago at 21 with topical minox and 0,5 dut oral daily best decision I ever made.

if youre just starting out and ur not on roids id recommend starting with fin first tho, just to test the water to see how u react (most likely your life will be just like normal) I am natty and swapped from fin to dut after 3 weeks, dut just turbo mogs fin and I have even worse norwood:lul:

Also topical minox and topical tret is a good mix but usually not necessary, its good for people that dont respond well/enough on topical 5% minox.

also topical minoxidil u shouldnt need a prescription for, unless you wanna take tablets. just go to ur pharmacy and make sure its 5% minoxidil and not 2%. And yes if you can get a good prescription for dut its always the better way than some indiamart bullshit ratpoison or something. He might wanna put u on fin first tho idk maybe he chill

Yea I just figured to try it with the topical tret because I have some already that I don’t use.

I’m not on roids the only medication I take is 80mg accutane for back acne

Also curious as why to not just start on dut?

Also what progress have you seen in the 2 months?

Dut or fin is the only thing that’s going to stop male pattern balding/a receding hairline from getting worse. Everything else either stimulates thicker or faster growth or doesn’t do anything.

dut has longer half life, 5 weeks if i remember right. so if u do get sides they stay in ur body longer, but obviously dut is better and stronger. fin half life is like idk 6 hours or some shit so if u do experience sides its out faster, just as a precaution but obv if u feel risky just get on dut but even then fin might just be enough its really up to you.

and also, might aswell just mix it with tret since u already have it, I can personally recommend dermastamping 1x weekly 1,25mm that's what I do to help with the minoxidil to get absorbed better, but theres side risks of that, you can look into it.

from my 2 months lowkey my temples have recovered like 60%+ area with tiny tiny hairs obv since its only 2 months in. but ur norwood is way better so im almost sure you can get to norwood 0 if you do respond well, you never know tho

I read that derma stamping is not necessary if you use topical tret. I’ll attach what I read below.

What are the major side effects besides ED for Fin or Dut?

yea thatd make sense i didnt think about that.

except for ED you have lower sexdrive, MAYBE infertility (dont really think so honestly), and gyno. I think especially on dut you could get gyno, idk, I personally take the pill and forget about it I have 0 sides it's mostly horrorstories bro I wouldnt fearmonger about it too much, thats why I recommend you start with fin first. Would you rather lose maybe 10% sex drive or your whole hair:soy:

if youre worried about sides, get on fin first few weeks, most likely nothing will happen in a negative way and from there you can debate getting on dut if thats what u want. (imo)

haircafe has alot of information I like him
