Almost everyone guy has receding hairline but most of them have longer hair which cover temples. Look at Ian somerhalder. He has recesed hair but due to his superior hairstyle which suit him well he looks good. O'Pry is one of the most famous male model and he has norwood 2. Gandy too. All you have to do is having proper hairstyle.

The problem is once your hairline gets to nw2 your hair has probably gotten thin and very difficult to style so having long hair that covers your temples is that much more impractical.
