I am 13 and have a severe chin recession that is purely genetic of about 10-12mm, and a very narrow palette. I’m going to ortho in a couple of weeks but idk if the doctor would say that I actually need something like MASPE or herbst because my parents would only let me get something like that if I actually need it. Could someone please tell me if an appliance like that is medically necessary for my recession or not.

Only if u have troubles bc of it like sleep apnea, or something along those lines
