yeah recessed infraorbitals are one of those things filler can’t really fix long-term it just floats over the deficit and migrates eventually, makes it worse in harsh lighting. infraorbital rim or tear trough implants (submalar / orbital rim implants) are the definitive move. they anchor under periosteum, so they restore projection permanently. high-tier surgeons can blend them perfectly into zygomatic arch contour. fat grafts work but are unpredictable 30-50% resorption and can clump if your metabolism’s fast or you cut later. they’re better for subtle correction. if you’re deep-set to the point your eyes look bugged out from the side, orbital rim implants are literally designed for that they restore forward projection and give that shielded eye look. just make sure surgeon’s done orbital rim work specifically.
