Lifefuel for recessed jawcels – non-surgical jutting posture hack using composite resin
If your mandible is recessed and makes your side profile look cooked
, here's a legit dental trick that's an Easy fix.
What it is:
Composite resin (the same tooth-colored stuff dentists use for fillings) gets bonded to the chewing surfaces of your back teeth (molars + premolars). This slightly increases your bite height (vertical dimension of occlusion / VDO).
How it helps your jaw look better:
Raising the bite forces your mandible (lower jaw) into a new resting position.
It rotates the jaw slightly forward and creates the appearance of a more jutted / projected lower jaw and chin.
No bone movement, no growth – it's pure postural + geometric change from how the jaw sits and rotates when you close.
Extra high-IQ tweak for CCW rotation :
Put a bit more height on the molars (back teeth) and less on the premolars (front-ish back teeth).
This biases the increase toward the posterior and encourages a mild counter-clockwise rotation effect when closing.
Result:
Ramus looks longer/more prominent in profile, jaw looks less "tucked under," lower third appears taller and more defined.
Reversible-ish (can be removed), but it's semi-permanent until you grind it off.
Cost: Way cheaper than fillers, genio, or jaw surgery.
This is softmaxxing endgame for mild-moderate recession without going under the knife.
Good luck, jawcels.
