Recessed Maxilla and edge to edge bite, solutions?

Im currently 18 yr old asian male, I have an underbite, and below I’ve attached images of some of the x-rays taken. My orthodontic surgeon is suggesting to pull teeth, but I know that’s utter nonsense and will recess me like crazy. I tried to bring up the possibility of a maxillary deficiency rather than a mandibular one, but he argued that my lower jaw was protruding and that my maxilla was fine. He said moving my upper jaw forward would give me an unnatural look, which I don’t really believe all that much. May the good people of org advise me on my situation? I’m thinking I should just save up for lefort later on. I also have all my wisdom teeth still even though I should probably get them extracted (at least the bottom ones). Would getting my wisdom teeth extracted help my underbite?

Seems to be the best decision. I think freeing up space for the lower jaw to move back more would fix the bite
