Recessed Maxilla

My brain is incapable of understanding the difference between Good maxilla and a recessed one!!!!!

Can you guys show pics of both?

It's not the most correct way , but just draw a line from the upper lips tip to the nasion , recessed maxillas will have a line with minimal slope (tangent to lips) and forward grown maxillas will have some slope to it

none of the bimax post results have good maxillas in the after. Only the part of the maxilla under the ANS was advanced

Here's a perfect example to my method (before and after surgery) , look at the slope of both lines

Nasion isnt very effective as it favours flat nosebridges which is a failo, and lack of forward growth.

I go from eyes to to the innermost space between the lips

it’s actually quite easy
the maxilla provides support for all the bones that go from under the eyes to under the lips
if its very prominent with good support, every bulging forward in a projected way, then they have a good maxilla. its possible to obviously have a good maxilla but with a bad mandible. its all about projection, if you cant see good forward and upward projection they are recessed
