I studied by myself in a little apartment for three years from 20-23. Got booted from the military and figured I had to do something to distinguish myself, because I didn't want to go to any kind of school. Figured I should learn a language. Settled on Russian because nobody I knew growing up in America had ever seemed interested in studying it. It's still a very useful language though, and I had always wanted to move abroad. I though maybe Russia or Ukraine would be nice. Anyways, I consumed a lot of Russian media for three years. It's still not very good though.

its very hard language to learn as i know, even chinese is easier
its very hard because one word can have more than 100 meanings

Yeah man. The grammar is something else as well. Chinese is definitely easier.

One of these days in the near future I think I'm gonna move my family to Moscow for a year or two. If I could do that I'd be fluent in no time. Unlike in China I would be able to read all the shop and street signs. I'd gladly teach again for a spell for that experience.
