Oregairu is my favorite, it's also called my teen romantic comedy: snafu, I think you will particularly like the mc. I don't really watch newgen shit but you probably know spy x family.
Also has a more serious plot but has sort of vibe you are going for is something like steins gate probably, noragami or even dr stone (never watched anime for last 2 but read manga years ago). I really loved erased but read the manga. Angel beats fits what you want well I think, samd with charlotte (charlotte is really good). Another is good. Horimiya is good but might be hard for you to watch as a blackpilled incel, one of my favourites but romance can be a hard watch when you have a blackpilled heart.

Nisekoi I read 5 or 6 years ago now, I watched I a few years ago as well and enjoyed it but it's not the greatest thing I've watched, just nice to relax and ease out of a long day of training and doing school shit. Saiki K I really liked, one of the only comedy anime with real jokes.
Golden time could have been better but I quite enjoyed it overall, it was refreshing to see adults in the show. If you want something better and read real books you should read Erich Segals Love Story. It's obviously different but it reminds me in some ways.
Horimiya I really liked having a real relationship on screen but it can leave you sick because some people get to live that life.
Assassination classroom is good for just chilling out in a way, I wouldn't say its the greatest show but if someone has never watched anime before I'd tell them to watch that probably unless they had some idea what they wanted.
Manga is all I read for both so not sure on show, it's been 6 years since I read those.
Made in abyss is very good at creating emotional tension but is kinda rough, very good show.
If you like reading and want something sort of like you describe but with more depth and nice and short, Onani master Kurosawa is really good. It reminds me in some ways of oyasumi punpun which you might have read, if not read it too but it's kind of unique. If you like reading I can tell you all the best manhwa for a bit of a chill thing but still purposeful.
Also just thougj I should recommend magical index and one more I don't know the name of but I read it a decade ago and it fits exactly what you want, I'll find its name it has an anime too I think
