How are the £500+ red light therapy devices any different to normal red light?

As soon as I write "therapy" at the end of "red light" the prices increase 10 fold.

If I got a cheap, powerful red light in the 630-700nm range, what difference will there really be?

Apologies, I'm aware this is a shit thread

Like the poster above said, higher outage forsure and also the fact that you are getting way more lights on some of these devices. Make sure you are getting something with 850nm as well because most of the benefits seen in studies are from that wavelength as it reaches further into the dermis.

Thanks, and what is 'outage' exactly? I'm guessing it's to do with Wattage or maybe Amps or Irradiance, tbh all this stuff went out my ear straight after my physics exam.
I guess my question is:
which measurement could I use to compare the outages of different lights?

If you're smart, you'll buy LED therapy. Which has all the different lights.

Red, Blue, Green etc. Better investment imo.

Red is the most mainstream, because of the collagen promotion, but you need others as well imo.

I've heard blue has anti-fungal properties (acne) but what are the benefits of others? I'm mostly wanting collagen, as well as possibly fatloss and testosterone

Other than acne-fight, one of Blue lights other purposes is to "tighten skin that has been loosened". So if you're losing weight on the face, you'll need it to tighten the skin.

Here are two photos I took from the booklet.

I might just go for the red to keep things simple tbh, that looks good tho. Tag me if you make a results thread.

Sorry I meant wattage. I read the comment above and typed it without thinking. As you mentioned, irradiance is the amount of power per unit area and is one of the more important factors to consider when getting red light panels. It's hard to gauge the milliwatts for different light panels unless stated, my advice would be to find a reputable brand and invest in one of their panels (contact them for more specifications regarding their lights if you can't find them on the website).

Joovv - Joowws

Just buy one for plants or some shit, all light is the same as long as the wavelength is the same.

Took its time getting here:

Does anyone know what distance + duration I should be shining this thing?
It's 660nm + 850nm and 45 Watts.

From my research it seems 10-30 mins and < 30cm are acceptable values but that leaves quite a range tbh.

Found this graph but it doesn't have any values on it :lul::

Im unearthing some of my growing lamps from years ago and going to blast some light to try this nigerian scam out and see if my collagen grows as strong as my weed used to. It seems to me that this is like sunbathing but without the UV deleterious rays, can't lose much for plugging it for half an hour before going to bed, maybe it even works, but i don't think i will stop feeling like a fool when using this.

Get some before-after pictures if you are doing this alone, im going to skinmaxx on so many fronts that i can't.
