There is plenty of wisdom to be gained from philosophy. Especially in a community like this of people so focused on looks, being able to ground yourself in an advanced understanding the world is important for being healthy tbh.

Isn't that a narrow minded view of philosophy. Reading philosophy isn't about merely being a follower and adhering to any given ideology its about expanding your knowledge base and learning. Building off the works of great thinkers and developing a more informed view on the world.
