Divorce is playing a key part in their depression clearly. I know for them divorce is a major social suicide considering how tight knit their communities are. Btw I confused the Mormons with the Amish in your first post. Afaik Amish community has a extremely low depression or divorce rate. It just seems like with religious women the option to give in to new age things is what’s actually causing the internal incongruence (and hence depression).

As a jew this is 100% true about Modern Judaism (but not Judaism at its original form), Rabbis are essentially cult leaders nowadays (at least in Israel), their followers have their photos
at home which they kiss and treat like a real person and a god, which is against Judaism as well (Judaism is strictly against Aniconism)

I am always wondering what is the correct flow in Judaism so maybe I can raise my children inside it (I am personally agonistic leaning atheist, but I know why religion is important and I have seen the real world enough)
