I use a combination of facetune and an app called airbrush. The first is good for shaping things and the latter is good for fixing undereye areas and changing skin tone.

You're right, and it's a problem I'm acutely aware of.

When I first joined this forum I was pretty firmly anti-surgery. Once I learned to morph and starting messing around with my nose, which I knew was bad but not to what extent, that changed very very quickly. It's taken me a while to build myself back up to the point where I no longer want a rhinoplasty but even now the 'what could have been' image sits in my head. If you'd seen the morphs you'd understand, the improvement is staggering.

I enjoy making morphs, especially profile morphs, but you have to be careful you aren't making things worse for the user you're doing it for. If the user actually wants and plans on getting a minor surgery like a genioplasty then sure, I'll give them an estimate of how it'll look, but it's always sad seeing people become obsessed with morphed versions of themselves when you know realistically they won't achieve it, and even if they do it'll make no difference to their happiness. In the grander scheme if you aren't content wth your looks before surgery you won't be content with your looks after. Surgery virginity is a sacred possession and once you open the floodgates it takes tremendous character to shut them again.

I misspoke. Anti-surgery isn't the right way to put it. If people want it they can go for it, as is their prerogative. I'm just not sure it's right for me.

What are the motivations behind surgery?

1) Some cases are about functionality, and I don't see an issue with that. If you have some deformity or issue that impairs your ability to live a normal life or function as a normal person, get surgery by all means.​

2) Some cases are about restoration, like getting a rhinoplasty to fix the appearancd of your nose after it was badly broken. That's also a perfectly legimate justification imo.​

3) Some cases are about validation or trying to get a relationship; more broadly doing it to beautify yourself. To me the validation wouldn't feel genuine. If I photoshop my picture and then get complimented on it I don't feel anything. Why would I? It's not me. Feeling validated when you've had surgery, especially extensive work, is like feeling validated when you get a top grade in an essay for your friend wrote for you. I'd feel like a fraud and it'd destroy me from inside. And in the case of relationships, I had a girlfriend before I ever arrived here. That wasn't ever a concern.​

The point is that learning how to morph and applying the skill to my own face over and over with half a million different pictures took me from being relatively content with my appearance to near on having full BDD, chucking my beliefs out of the window and planning on pusuing a fantasy that would make no significant difference to my well-being. And the best part is that nobody has ever commented on my nose irl, and nobody ever really commented on it when I posted pictures here either. It wasn't an issue until I started morphing it.

If you can just get the one minor surgery and then stop, great for you. But like I said;

Surgery virginity is a sacred possession and once you open the floodgates it takes tremendous character to shut them again.

Digging with that 'just one more' logic pushing you deeper and deeper until it's too late.

A 3 PSL guy who gets with a 3 PSL girl will be happier by far than the 3 PSL who gets a genioplasty, jaw implants, a rhinoplasty, visits Taban and makes it to 6 PSL and gets a 6 PSL girlfriend.

You offering to do morphs for anyone? I would like a side profile morph if possible. I tried to use the liquidizer face tool in photoshop but I only got weird results. What software do you use? You probably have the best morphs I have seen out there. Cheers.

I'll try if you'd like one but some faces are straight up hard to morph. I mostly just use facetune.
