i should’ve specified the neuCT and negative eyebrows complete it, but its the low esr that creates a kirk appearance. @o_Owtf made an interesting thread on frauding a suboptimal esr/ipd by reducing pct, but if you have too wide bizygos then im not sure it would be the right move since you’re going right into kirk territory. same idea to why low esrcels shouldn’t look into implants to widen zygos. sad catch 22 situation since low esr is often associated with horseface who could benefit from extra fwhr

If I'm completely honest I was speculating a bit when I made that thread, if you have PCT you should probably keep it. But I've thought about it more and I have a more comprehensive theory now that explains what causes the close set look and how PCT is implicated in it.

I think that the connection of close set eyes with PCT has to do with the orbitomaxillary plane angle (OPA). The OPA is positively correlated with PCT, but also negatively correlated with eye width and the distance between the medial canthi. This is a simple mathematical fact that comes from how perspective works. I've tried to demonstrate it with this video: As I fold (simulating higher OPA) the paper (representing the face), notice how the lines I drew (representing the eyes) become more positively sloped, they become narrower, and the distance between them medially becomes shorter. These things contribute to a close set look.

So it's kind of like a syndrome, it's a set of traits with the same root cause, the OPA. PCT happens to be one of the symptoms but honestly I don't think it actually contributes directly to close set eyes. I like to call it the Cookie King syndrome.

Taylor Hill also kind of has this growth pattern (this picture exaggerates it a little, though)

I'm not completely sure but I believe there's some validity to this, because asians have a higher OPA on average, and also tend to have less problems with close set eyes compared to caucasians. But of course Taylor Hill shows that it doesn't mean that you will have that close set look. What I'm starting to wonder if perhaps there's various ways of having close set eyes:
  • There's the Cookie King syndrome variant that comes from a high OPA
  • There's the Charlie Kirk variant that comes from a high temporal plane angle (TPA)
  • There's the Darren Till (he has other problems though, like the TPA) variant with a lot of eye hollowing and a shitty radix which gives you a collapsed look, like your skull is caving in
  • The long midface varant like you mentioned, where it makes your eyes seem disproportionately close just by comparison to your nose + philtrum. If you have too many of these things you might start having a close set look.
These things are probably related to each other in various ways. You could get away with one of these pathologies/growth patterns, but if you start having 2-3 then you're in trouble. I think this drawing shows what you would look like if you had all 4 (of course there's other silly aspects to it but if you focus on the 4 things I mentioned you can see what I mean)

Genius comment. Bravo. So fucking eye opening i’m just at a loss for words at your iq. You have a great mind to connect all of these together rather than being stuck at the symptoms like an iqlet like me
