Yeah, my childhood was filled with lectures about how I could’ve been born as a starving kid in the middle east or North Korea or whatever, but comparison really falls apart when it comes to the most intimate nature of “good and bad”, if something is good or bad it depends on other factors than the quantifiable level of joy or suffering, at the end of the day there are better ways to cope with getting the short end of the stick than endless downward comparisons
