Something along the lines of LDL cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease, or that it isn't a factor, which is complete bullshit because we know that your level of LDL cholesterol is directly related to the number of plaque sites you have in your arteries.

Eventually he got called out and admitted that LDL does play a role, but dietary cholesterol doesn't. He cited some old ass studies even though the newest studies show that dietary cholesterol follows a logarithmic curve, so even eating a little bit saturates your blood completely. The ones he cites take people who eat a little bit, and bump it up to a lot. Not people who go from nothing to a little bit.

He made one last video claiming that OK, LDL is attributed to heart disease, and dietary cholesterol does raise LDL, but low LDL is bad as well. He cited epidemiological studies showing that people with low LDL had higher rates of death, similar to those with high LDL, and that somewhere in the middle is best.

Problem was that the study was epidemiological, and the fact was that LDL levels are lower in people who are sick, with cancer, infectiois disease, etc. It was basically not understanding correlation vs causation.

Eventually he just stopped talking about it lol.

ah, yeah the only thing I remember him saying was that if you eat eggs, which have cholesterol, it won't hurt you, and that eggs are actually good for you

yeah i think thats the video where he says it doesnt have an effect

Most animal products other than chicken and fish are prob bad tbh
I heard fish was bad because of mercury

jfl it seems you hear about everything being "bad" in some way these days

I heard fish was bad because of mercury
its mainly only a problem for big fish since they live a long time and collect mercury

also if they fish are farmed there is no mercury

Contaminants: Some studies have shown how farm-raised varieties can be higher in contaminants. Additionally, farm-raised fish tend to have a higher instance of disease due to farming conditions. It is important to note that mercury can be found in both farm-raised and wild-caught seafood due to industrial pollution that finds its way into lakes, rivers and oceans. Large predatory fish have the most mercury.

Bigger fish are worse, yes, so something like salmon makes the most sense.

However it seems farmed fish still are flawed
