This probably isn't the right sub or forum to post, but I was curious to see any intrest in this. The use case is literally just for losing your nicotine tolerance lmfao
I'm sure most people will dnr, but it could be useful if you want to smoke without fucking up your lungs.
Very niche chemical. Has been tried for Alzheimers, but never made it past trials.
Nicotine works on the Alpha 4 Beta 2 Nicotinic Acetylcholine receptor. (a4b2 nAchr). It agonizes this receptor, allowing calcium and sodium into the synapse. In turn, this releases large amounts of dopamine. Downstream, it also releases adrenaline, which gives the head buzz.
However, the receptor adapts to the nicotine binding and multiplies. This means more nicotine is needed to release the same amount of dopamine.
This is where dFBr comes in. Desformylflustrabromine acts as a type 2 Positive Allosteric Modulator of the nAchr, increasing sensitivity to binding. In theory, consumption of dFBR will result in resensitization to nicotine's dopamine releasing effects.
dFBR is currently not on the market as a "research chemical". The use case is only for labs right now. I wouldn't know any dosaging either to reach the desired nicotinic resensitization. Of course, this is research use only and not for humans.
