I’ve posted about this before, but lots of new people have come since and I want more opinions.
Bascially, this organization that specializes in stem cell therapy for musculoskeletal issues has found active stem cells in the resting zone of the growth plate. These cells produce many things, among them being cells that cause the formation of bone.
A “feedback loop” that controls these cells was also discovered. One signal causes growth or production of these bone cells, the other stops it. This means that, in the future (when is key), we could see an injection that releases signals to “trick” the closed growth plate into producing bone cells again, which will ossify and become bone.
