I only recently learned about rep to post ratio and it's gotta be the dumbest thing of all time. I realized people tend to read or pay attention more to what people say if they have an high rep to post ratio. But from what I understand you can gain rep from any kind of message so even by typing something funny or something obvious that everyone can agree with you can increase your rep rather quickly. I think you would much better off not looking at someone rep to post ratio and just read what they have to say, no ? I know I'm setting myself up here to obvious jokes but I still think it's something people should think about.

I don't care and I won't be trying to increase my rep now that I know this, I just think it's a dumb system and can slow some people's progress

Many people do it from what I understand, I think the way the system is set up is dumb in general. But like I said I recently learned that people tend to not respect your opinion much if you have a low rep to post ratio. I made some posts recently and all I got was people saying dnr or bullshit like that, and I believe that if I had a higher rep ratio they would have at least read it and made some comments on it

I only started using the forum like 2 weeks ago lol. It was already bullshit in 2024 now it's even worse and I would never use it for getting information but I do like to post and indirectly help people sometimes
